Domestic Abuse

                                                                                                              December 22,2011
Domestic Abuse
Ecclesiates 7:9 Be not quick in your Spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the bosom of fools.

Today as I looked through my facebook and twitter,I noticed an amount of ignorant and distasteful comments and jokes pertaining to boxing champion Floyd Mayweather who has recently been charged with domestic abuse against the mother of his child. He could have gotten 34 years, but with the plea bargining he gets 90 days in jail , a year worth of domestic violence classes and some community service.  A small price to pay for the lifetime scarring of his child and the childs mother.  I hope and pray that the child and mother seek counseling of some sort so this cycle of violence can be stopped.
Domestic violence is not a joke or anything that should be toyed with.  So many women and children have lost their lives because of domestic violence. There are those who will always have scarring whether it be physical or mental.  We need to stop looking at domestic abuse as "not my problem" or "what she do this time". Those attitudes are all wrong.  There are so many women who are embarrassed to say that there boyfriend,or husband is abusing them. If you are or were one of these women or children and you need someone to talk to there are plenty of resources available for you.  Please contact me via email, text, phone, facebook, twitter.

A Caregivers Heart

There are all kinds of Caregivers of all kinds. A caregiver tends to the needs of someone who can't accomplish a certain goal without assistance. Nurses,CNA's,HHA's,PCA's,RA's are among the most sought after care givers.  On this blog I plan to uplift the Caregivers heart with post of encouragement. All are welcomed. Feel free to post any words of encouragement.

The Greatest is Love

My all time favorite passages in the bible come from 1 Corithians 13.  This indeed is one of the most profound passages about love and how it is to be. demonstrated .
1IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such [a]as is inspired by God's love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.    2And if I have prophetic powers ([b]the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God's love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody).
3Even if I dole out all that I have [to the poor in providing] food, and if I surrender my body to be burned or [c] in order that I may glory, but have not love (God's love in me), I gain nothing.
4Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
5It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
6It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
7Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
8Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy ([d]the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].
9For our knowledge is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect), and our prophecy (our teaching) is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect).
10But when the complete and perfect (total) comes, the incomplete and imperfect will vanish away (become antiquated, void, and superseded).    11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; now that I have become a man, I am done with childish ways and have put them aside.    12For now we are looking in a mirror that gives only a dim (blurred) reflection [of reality as [e]in a riddle or enigma], but then [when perfection comes] we shall see in reality and face to face! Now I know in part (imperfectly), but then I shall know and understand [f]fully and clearly, even in the same manner as I have been [g]fully and clearly known and understood [[h]by God].
13And so faith, hope, love abide [faith--conviction and belief respecting man's relation to God and divine things; hope--joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love--true affection for God and man, growing out of God's love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Without love we are merely nothing, our lives are empty without it.  This passage also shows us maturity by stating the things we use to do and how to be complete in His love.  The following is a poem that I wrote named His Love:
His Love is yours,His Love is mine
His Love withstands the test of time
His Love is kind,His Love is pure
His Love is for all us to endure
His love is precious,His Love is Holy
His Love is what molds me
His Love is you,His Love is me
His Love is here for eternity
His Love is worthy,His Love is great
His Love is all it takes

In His Appearance

When you hear the phrase in his appearance what do you think? My answer to that is the manifestation of God in someones life. I would also compare it to an epiphany which rhymes with my name Tiffany and also shares the same definition which means in God's own image. So when you think of Tiffany don't just think jewelry and lamps think of the image of God.  Remind yourself of what God's love really is.  Regardless of how we feel or what we have done  all have to do is remember that Jesus Christ died for our sins and by his blood we are saved.

Knock at the Door

A few weeks ago it was so hot in parts of the mid-west that there were heat advisories and rolling blackouts all over. Anyone who was outside in the heat should have had a real good reason. So of course I was quite baffled  to receive a knock at my door. Once I got to the door, there was a man dressed in all black with a  clipboard. I looked at him and said I can't believe your employer would have you out here on one of the hottest days of the year .He told me it didn't bother him much. Then he goes on trying to sell me windows and   I interrupted him telling him I wasn't interested ,but before I went to close the door I noticed the man had sweat just pouring off of him. I looked into this man's deep blue eyes as he still tried to sell me windows and said I'm not buying what your trying to sell but can I offer you a nice cold bottle of water.  He humbly accepted.
Several things came to mind after this individual left.Immediately the first thing that popped up in my head is the story of the Woman at the Well in John 4:1-42. What if that was Jesus at my door? Did I pass his test. I could have easily slammed the door and not thought much of it at all. God's sends us Angel's to test us at times and sometimes we really don't see it that way. In Hebrews 13:2 it says " Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it".  So please believe that there are Angels amongst us.  The next time a stranger approaches treat them kindly!!!

"Stat Jack"

I recently came across a phrase called  "Stat-Jack".This obviously means to re-post someones status or tweet from Facebook or Twitter as your own status. Some folks are polite and tell you "hey I'm going to re-post this", and some don't. Does it really matter that you inform the other person that you are posting the same thing?  I think not.  I "stat-jack" when I feel that it is spreading the wisdom of God without regards of whomever posted it first.  Those that get mad about these wisdom instructed messages because they see the same thing more than once either in their news feed on Facebook or as a tweet on Twitter are not "seeing the forest because of the trees". They should be thankful that such wisdom was even leaked to them. Is God mad about "stat-jacking"? No.  But the devil is. "Stat-jacking" is another way to spread God's word. I encourage all who read this who are already "Stat-Jackers" to continue to spread the word and to those who haven't been to start.

Grillin

Recently I decided to do something I had never done before but always seen done, firing up the grill. The first thing that stuck in my head was something a friend had told me the week before, "Make sure the coals are in a pyramid." So I placed the coals in a pyramid then proceeded to soak them in lighter fluid and then of course lit the fire. Now in order to keep the fire burning I had to leave it open to the air, because when I put the lid on and closed up the holes the fire starting to die out. We can compare the fire to the desire of the word of God. If we keep our hearts open to God more blessings and peace come to us. If we close the word of God out of lives we are the ones who suffer because goals in life in which we are trying to attain will either take too long or just not prosper at all. KEEP THE FIRE BURNING  by continuing to pray and seeking GOD.

Mommy's Plate

Why is that my younger two children always enjoy the food off of mommy's plate compared to their own? All three plates contained the same exact meal. Maybe the fact that they like that mommy feeds it to them. We can look at food on the plate as the word of God. For we all are to be childlike in our faith. So life can be compared to the plate for we all have a plate to eat off of but the food (the word) always taste better when it comes from our creator. A plate(life) can look just as good as the next one, but that's just the outwardly view. For we are all offered the same keys to His salvation, but if you don't go through Him first you will never get the satisfaction of life that you are seeking.  So is the food off of  mommy's plate what you desire or are you just looking at your plate and being dissatisfied.
